Transjordan refers to the region east of the Jordan River, which became the inheritance of the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh. This territory was conquered by Moses before the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land and served as a significant area for Israel's eastern expansion and defense.
