Magdala

Mary Magdalene was from Magdala, a fishing town in Galilee. She had been possessed by seven demons before Jesus freed her. After her deliverance, she became a devoted follower who supported Jesus' ministry financially. She was present at the cross when most disciples fled, and became the first witness of the resurrection—a remarkable honor given that women's testimony was often dismissed in that culture.
